Norfolk VA

It was a five and a 1/2 hour drive to get here ..thats about twice what I like to do each day………All went well until we were about 30 minutes away and decided to get gas…

…I cut the turn into the gas station a little close and Cut one of the tires @%$#&^#&@………At Camping World they cost over $600.00 each…..Our friend Vinnie in NY got us two last fall for $350.00 each……I made a few calls and found a Goodyear dealer selling them for $350.00 also ….I hate making costly mistakes with no way to blame Sharon for it !!!!!! kidding

My son Pauls’ wife Laura made arrangements for us to camp on a Navy base near their house……Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base …..They both with granddaughter Kaylee met us outside the base to sign us into the base and take my firearms and ammo ….the Navy base frowns on guns on the base …go figure ?

Andy Tantalo my Nephew and Paul's Cousin came from D.C. for the weekend…….. Who needs a living room , a family room and a parlor …so  a pool room they have !!!!   fun too!!!

Laura’s , mom and dad, Bob and Sharon Crnkovich  drove down on Sunday from Rochester NY ….Bobs retired and Sharon joins him after this school year ……

Laura's’ friend Brittney  had a late Easter dinner with us Sunday afternoon….Her husband is  in the Navy and deployed overseas ……..

Today is Monday the 19th of April….. tomorrow morning we get the tire fixed at 7:00 am. and start the drive toward Green Harbor Campground and Marina our summer home .

Its been a JOY seeing  Paul and Laura and especially Kaylee …..She changes so fast and is truly growing like a weed…..She’s only going to be one year old on the 25th of May ..she was able to whisper to me I’m her favorite relative ….how sweet is that !!!!!

Longs , S.C. – Rv-dreams Rally

We Got here a day early and got a beautiful site ..

All the sites are big and pull-thru with grills , larger tables and full hook ups………

The resort is called “ Willow Tree Resort " and is one of the finest we’ve been to ..like a five star hotel this is a five star campground…….

Pool and hot tub …….I enjoyed both , the pool was a little cold but the hot tub made up for it..niceee

A large lake with a paved path a mile long around it ..that's our site there in the middle….

They had a few sites on the lake with there own hot tubs too……

Its a very cool place …we got a break on the rate because of the rally…..winter rates are around $40-$60 a day and summers twice that ….way out of our budget…..

The rally was a blast and educational too….        The RV-DREAMS .COM  is put together by Linda and Howard Payne …… I started reading it four years ago and it help me to get ready to go full time …….if anyone  wants to know how to get to fulltime rving its the place to go to…..

Now for the rally …. like I said earlier it was a blast

Sharon made me sit in front so to make sure I paddled along with her …..is there no trust in this world ? I think we may sell one of our Kayaks          ( mine ) and buy one of these to travel with …..  thanks Ken and Cindy …….

This is Sterling Payne ..Howards dad….a retired Plumber , so we had fun talking about some of our mistakes and experiences  …..

I’ve made some adjustments to our blog ….so if anyone has tried  to leave a comment ….its easier now and will appear 12-24 hours after you leave one ………

We leave here tomorrow and heading to a campground on a naval base , Paul Jr. has made arrangements for us ………looking forward to seeing all of them ……

Sharon is giving the dogs bath today and yes she is still here…..

Unadilla , Ga & Yemassee , Sc

28 march and we are heading the the great north ......little by little .....We stopped at our " home camp " Southern Trails RV Resort " in Unadilla , Ga. for four days R&R.....we actually did nothing ....nothing at all ..........I have no pictures to post or stories to tell .....we did nothing .......We ate ....watched TV......Sharon read....I ate ...... and found time to nap ......I guess I was tired from all the nothing......I hope I didn't disappoint to many of you ....but it was sort of a nice change too.......

THEN ...we went to the next stop at " Oaks at Point South " in the town of Yemassee , SC. don't ask me to pronounce it .......its just off of I-95 and one of our " in system " resort we get to stay at for only $10.00 a day.........its a nice resort with large mature trees and all hook ups.......











On Friday and Saturdays , Rays BBQ comes in and sells dinners for $7.50.......a nice guy and great BBQ too....we took time to go to his store and he posed for a picture with me ......

Sharon and I went for our : turn here, turn there ride , we like to go on .....not planned just drive and we usually find some neat place to see....then we use the GPS we so far have found our way back to camp.......

We also found these old houses that were homes for someone along time ago......and next to or behind new houses where the people live now....I liked how somebody thought not to burn down or demolish them ....if only they could talk and tell their stories......

That's all We have for now on the 6 of April we got our awning repaired at a Camping World and then headed to Longs , SC. 10 minutes outside of Myrtle Beach for the RVDREAMS.COM Rally .... its the web site that helped to plan our fulltime lifestyle , I'm looking forward to meet Linda and Howard the owners and writers of the site ........

Sharon is here and looking to getting back to our summer home at Green Harbor Campground .......
