The drive to Moore Haven was sort of smooth ....it was a three hour drive and the weather was warm with clear sky's..........I have a rule to never , never and I do mean Never !!!! let the gas get below 1/2 empty .......Well I forgot the rule and realized we needed gas on a road that went on and on with not only no gas stations ..but no nothing ......not a building or even a outhouse for miles ......We took a detour just to get gas and the tank received over 70 gallons ...that meant we had only about a 50 mile cushion left ..........Never again will that happen .......
We're at a very nice campground called "M" RV Resort ....With many Activities bingo ,pool tables , heated pools , music jams and on Wednesdays we shoot skeet ........A very friendly bunch of folks ......
Sharon and I have met some fun people ......Ernest Bennett and his wife Dean are from West V.A. and just a fine couple ...Ernest is retired Army and active in his home town GOP party ....He spent hours with me on teaching to fire my GSG-5 Rifle and set up the red dot scope ...... The four of us played some dominoes that evening ....fun
Someone gave me this sign before I left Rochester N.Y. I don't remember who but its started a lot of conversations ....Today a couple asked if I knew a Earl Lenhard ...he's my brother and they went to high school together 40 years ago ...small world huh ?
Our , friends Jim and Shirley Perry are camping down the road .......15 minutes away ....we'll be spending time with them and will have a more interesting Blog next time .....
We are having a blast so far and for my Green Harbor friends Sharon is still with me ........

Thirdly, as a point of interest, it costs just as much money to keep the gas tank above 1/2 full as it does to keep it close to empty...You're rule is a good one....especially as you get out west...Good Luck, Have Fun, and be safe!!!
I enjoy reading your blog so much! I knew the answer to the question:"who stayed in to comfort the dogs and give directions as to what to save from the sea....didn't have to wait for the answer, Paul. You are a good wife, Sharon!! Vinny and I just got back from spending 9 days in Fla. We were visiting friends in New Smyrna Beach. Also went to Daytona, Tampa (Hard Rock Casino!), and St. Augustine. Had a great time.
